Georgia Foster Care Scholarship
The Georgia Foster Care Scholarship Program provides eligible students assistance with Direct Costs at an eligible college or university while enrolled in an undergraduate program. Students may qualify for the scholarship through one of several eligibility pathways established in state law, including having been in foster care under the supervision of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services for at least six months after their fourteenth birthday.
Additional Support with College Costs
Students who have experienced foster care may also be eligible for additional resources and assistance through the Fostering Success Act (FSA). FSA connects eligible youth with support for education and career goals, including guidance from a dedicated life coach and potential assistance with needs such as housing, transportation, food, healthcare, and other resources.
Students are encouraged to visit the Fostering Success Act website to learn more about eligibility and request support. Learn more and request support through the Fostering Success Act.
